Chancellors Changing Homes was founded upon a mutual love of building, renovating and architecture, by Melbourne based couple, Michael and Yasmin Chancellor. The duo started developing properties at the age of twenty (2012), starting with owner builds and working their way into a multitude of renovations and developments across Melbourne's outer east over the coming decade.
Michael has sound knowledge in all things construction, being a construction estimator for builders both big and small over the last 12 years, complimented by his passion for design and architecture
passed on by his Grandfather who is a renown Architect in Victoria - David Chancellor. Teamed up with Yasmin's natural creative flair, coming from a professional photography background, made them the perfect team.
Over 5 years, the Chancellors Changing Homes account gained momentum on Instagram, where they shared the in's and out's of their renovations with their followers, whilst starting a family in the midst of it all.
After informally design consulting for several years for friends, family and Instagram followers, Yasmin finally made the leap and began offering in-home and virtual design services in 2022.
Yasmin currently runs her own professional photography studio in Montrose part-time and is also a busy Mother to their two children, Winter (4) and Atlas (3), with another on the way in early 2023. The chancellors are currently renovating a farmhouse style home in Montrose, and are also running a double home development in Paynesville, Victoria.

Turning a house into a home can be an intimidating task. Chancellors Changing Homes offers two options to help make that process a little less daunting.
Lets keep it simple..
60 minute consultation - $350

The one hour in-home consult is the simpler option, for those who want a kick start to help them on their design journey. This consultation type is for the budget conscious who need some guidance to get started.
ONE.
Prior to the one hour consultation in your home/business, you will answer the extensive online questionnaire provided. This gives the Chancellors the opportunity to get basic details about the project, in addition to further information about the style, function, goals you'd like to achieve.
TWO.
Yasmin will come to your home or business for your one hour consultation. Yasmin will bring along her sample collection if relevant. It is important to have a clear mindset of what zones you would like the consultation to focus on. You can choose to cover as little or as much as you like within that 60 minute period.
THREE.
2-3 weeks after your consultation, you will receive a personalized Style Board and extensive document that summarizes all of the key points discussed on the day of the consultation. The guide can also include relevant products, links, trades, pricing estimates, plans etc. This document will give you a clear visualization on all the possibilities for your space based your unique style and needs.

This option is an extensive service designed to have Yasmin holding your hand every step of the way, for the length of your new build or renovation, no matter the duration. Your journey starts with Yasmin having a consultation with you to create the project brief. To create the brief, they work through your project, from start to finish. Yasmin will discuss your personal design style, budget limitations, time frame, functions, style and your inspiration. Yasmin will be on site regularly when required to ensure that everything is progressing as required. Regular check ins are crucial as design variations are often made throughout these stages.
Chancellors Changing Homes work to create a design to compliment your lifestyle. They collaborate with your trades regularly to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the project is on track. The Chancellors can also bring on board recommended trades for your renovation or new build, they have great connections in the industry to ensure that they can put you in touch with the right people for every aspect of your project.
Chancellors Changing Homes pride themselves on sustainably sourcing items when possible, via 2nd hand purchases, up-cycling or DIY'ing. The budget will be in the forefront of their minds when making all selections for their project. The Chancellors will source your pieces and seek approval on any financial purchases prior to purchasing. The main objective is to complete your project in full, on time and on budget.
